NBSC inks MOA with PEHEIN
Northern Bukidnon State College sealed its commitment through Memorandum of Agreement with the P-EAGA Higher Education Institutions Network (PEHEIN) to the establishment of the BIMP-EAGA HEIs Network and Human Resource Development in the EAGA sub-region last September 28-29, 2023 at Acacia Hotel, Davao City.
This memorandum signified cooperation to spur inclusive growth, and contribute to regional economic integration in the ASEAN countries with the emphasis of transformative education.
PEHEIN MinSuPala is composed of the Palawan State University, San Pedro College, Western Philippines University, Caraga State University, Northern Bukidnon State College, University of Southern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University, and Sulu State College. These HEIs signed the Statement of Commitment on. This is in line with CHED’s goals and objectives to contribute to ASEAN Community-building and help Philippine Higher Education stakeholders to create and expand access to education opportunities through networking and partnerships locally and internationally.
The said event was witnessed by CHEDRO IX Director Dr. Rody P. Garcia, CHEDRO X Director Dr. Freddy T. Bernal represented by Rose Mae Lumasag, CHEDRO XI Director Dr. Maricar R. Casquejo, CESO III, CHEDRO XII Director Dr. Nelia A. Alibin, CHEDRO Caraga OIC-Director Ms. Alma S. Patron, CHED MIMAROPA Director Atty. Joselito C. Alisuag represented by Lesele O. Condeza and facilitated and witnessed by the CHED International Affairs Staff (IAS).
The Statement of Commitment Signing formulated strategic plans, and organizational structure of thenetwork. The association selected HEIs to lead the 8 clusters of the association for future project proposals such as environment, tourism, agri-business, socio-cultural & Education, trade & industry, power & energy, transport, and trade facilitation.
Northern Bukidnon State College among other HEIS to lead the research for Socio-Cultural & Education.
Furthermore, Maria Theresa B. Markines-Cabudoy,PhD is chosen as Technical/Administrative Coordinator. Meanwhile, Mary Koren Witting-Acuesa, PhD served as the secretary of National Coordinating Council.
